Example of an effective letter to request The Jim Sumpter Show:

Hi

I'm writing in an effort to encourage your station (which is among my most listened to stations) to carry a new show I've recently become aware of.

It's The Jim Sumpter Show, and I think it would be a great addition to your already fine programming.

I enjoy listening to his show enough that I would change to another station that was carrying it should you decide not to.  Since I much prefer your station to any other, I'm hoping you'll act before another station does.
